CyberCoach ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we may receive:

  • Your name (or a pseudonym if you choose to hide your email)
  • Email address (or Apple's private relay email)
  • Unique Apple user identifier

Profile Information

To personalize your workout experience, you may provide:

  • Fitness goals
  • Experience level
  • Age, height, and weight
  • Available equipment
  • Workout schedule preferences
  • Dietary preferences and restrictions

Workout and Health Data

As you use the App, we collect:

  • Workout history (exercises, sets, reps, weights)
  • Progress data and achievements
  • AI coach conversation history

Apple HealthKit Data

With your explicit permission, we may read from and write to Apple HealthKit. This data is used solely to sync your workouts and is never sold, shared with third parties for advertising, or used for purposes other than providing our fitness services. HealthKit data is stored locally on your device and in your secure iCloud account.

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App usage patterns and feature interactions
  • Crash reports and performance data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Generate personalized workout plans using AI
  • Provide AI coaching and respond to your questions
  • Track your progress and display achievements
  • Sync workouts with Apple Health
  • Process subscriptions and payments (via Apple)
  • Improve the App and develop new features
  • Send important service notifications
  • Provide customer support

3. Trainer and Client Data

If you use CyberCoach as a personal trainer:

  • You can view your clients' workout data, progress, and profile information
  • Messages between trainers and clients are stored to enable communication
  • Workout plans and meal plans you create are stored and shared with your clients

If you are a client working with a trainer:

  • Your trainer can see your profile, workout history, and progress
  • Your trainer can message you directly through the App
  • You can end the trainer relationship at any time

4. AI Coach and Data Processing

Our AI coach uses your profile information and conversation history to provide personalized responses. Conversations may be processed by third-party AI services (such as Anthropic) to generate responses. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

  • Service Providers: Firebase (database and authentication), Anthropic (AI processing), Cloudflare (video hosting)
  • Apple: For payment processing and App Store services
  • Your Trainer: If you join a trainer's program, they can see your fitness data
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase with encryption in transit and at rest. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke permissions at any time (e.g., HealthKit access)

9. Children's Privacy

CyberCoach is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

10. International Users

If you are accessing the App from outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States where our servers are located.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
